Happy New Year!! Now that the holidays are over, I'm getting to play catch up before Spring Portrait season kicks into high gear. I've been so anxious to share some of the images I took on Josh and I's recent family trip to Hawaii. It was my first time there in my adult life and it was magical experiencing the beauty of Oahu and Kauai.

"Creativity is intelligence having fun." -Albert Einstein Sometimes I just pinch myself- I love what I do! My clients are always so creative and fun. No matter if their photography needs are personal or professional, I love meeting my clients ideas with my vision. My most recent session brought me to the New Jersey shore photographing Michael and Marisa in their home studio!
Michael is the Owner/Creative Director at Asano Designs and Marisa is a Health and Wellness Coach and both were looking for shots of them working in their creative space. They were so wonderful opening their beautiful home to me- their home studio flooded in natural light, color, and creativity! I felt like we instantly clicked and had a total blast as I photographed shots for their businesses. I'm looking forward to their next session this spring including their three adorable children for family portraits! Since tomorrow is the official first day of the fall season, I figured today would be the last appropriate time to blog about my trip to Charleston during this past summer! Even though it was technically a work trip (one day I'll get around to blogging Jo's wedding...!) my husband and I took a few extra days to make a little vacay out of it.
"We love because it's the only true adventure." -Nikki Giovani Allison is one of the most beautiful people I know. Growing up I always wanted to be just like her and her older sister, Laura. They were the epitome of elegance, not to mention they had the best personality; funny, witty, clever! As we progressed into adulthood they remained role models to me, but also became my friends. Its crazy to think back to our young ballerina days... Laura and I are now married and soon enough Allison will be joining the club. Soon after she and Brian got engaged last year she approached me and said "I don't have any wedding plans made yet but I know I want YOU to do our engagement portraits!"
Back in March I met up with my sister, Nikki, in D.C for one of her many half marathon races! It was my third time to visit our nation's beautiful capital however it was Nikki's first time. We froze our tooshies of as we hit up many of the famous monuments and explored the city on our weekend trip!
