 I know I'm a little behind with the whole "year in review" thing but I figured as long
as I published this before February 1st I was still good...! In no particular order, here are my top 16 portraits of 2016 and why they were my favorites of the year.

 I met Ian about two years ago when I choreographed for Pearland High School's Choir. He's now going into his sophmore year at Oklahoma City University at a Musical Theatre major. We both happened to be in Houston at the same time this past July and I was thrilled to photograph some Headshots for him! Pearland High School has produced some incredible talent over the last few years, Ian being among them, and I'm thrilled to have worked with them these last few years as a choreographer. I had the pleasure of seeing him in United Player's final production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, in the title role this summer. His rendition of "Close Every Door" left me with chills down my arms. Not only is he immensely talented but he's also an incredibly kind and respectful young man. And I think he certainly could have a career in modeling if he wanted- the camera loves him! Excited to see what opportunities lie ahead for Ian and I hope these headshots help him find success in all of his proffesional endeavors.    Last Fall I photographed some fun Fall and Winter Fashion for Torly Kid. Since then I'm happy to say that my relationship with this adorable Tribeca Kid's Clothing boutique has only grown! During last year's shoot it was a very cool, windy day and I remember the kids and I shivering our way through the shoot. This time around, the sun was out and the and we were ready to play! The four tween girls I photographed were adorable and so much fun. These best friends were excited to have one last hurrah together before one of them moves away during the Summer. I felt honored to capture their sweet friendship on camera and to create some special photo memories for them. From the 4th of July outfits to the crazy leggings and tanks, the girls were stylin' in the summer wear! Always a pleasure collaborating with Carol Adams, who always does such a great job at knowing exactly what the kids these days will love . Torly Kid is a fantastic TriBeCa kids clothing store and I was so excited to photograph some of their Fall and Winter attire last month. Working with kids is such a blast because their imaginations are always coming up with fun ideas and I love their enthusiasm and energy. Even though it was a chilly windy day, these kids were champs as we skipped along the streets snapping shots of them in their fun Fall Wear and Holiday Outfits. I definitely know where I'm going to do my shopping for my nieces and nephews from now on!! Thanks for having my along, Carol! Currently booking Winter (15/16) and Spring (16).  I've known Laura for almost as long as I can remember. We grew up together at the same dance studio and when I came up to New York for the first time when I was 13, she was my roommate. She was the older girl I always looked up to! When she moved to NYC, I wanted to move to NYC. When she became a Rockette, I wanted to become a Rockette. She has paved the path for me and helped me along my way, all the while offering her wonderful friendship. Since becoming a photographer, I can easily say she's one of my favorite people to photograph. I mean, c'mon... Just look at her! She is gorgeous and effortlessly fierce. But it's not just that... most of the time I get my best shots of her when she's being extremely silly! You would never know it because the photo turns out like something from a magazine. Even when she's spazzing out she's still the most glamorous person I know! We wandered along the riverside of West Harlem and found several little gems that provided some fun backgrounds for her Artistic Portrait Session. Enjoy!
