"Always timid, never took a chance Then I felt his magic And my heart began to dance." -Mel Brooks This year, 2019, marks the 10 year anniversary of two very important events for me. May 16th, 2009 marked the birth of Caitlin Cannon Photography and on June 3, 2009, on the way home from a photoshoot I was involved in a tragic car accident, which took the life of my dear friend Makenzie. My photography anniversary arrived this year and my life was so completely chaotic that I didn't even get a chance to celebrate. I was teaching non stop, caught up in client shoots, and getting ready for my first performing contract in 6 years! June arrived and I was immersed in The Producers at Casa Manana.

"True love is not something you fall in, but grow in." -Lynn G. Robbins It feels like just yesterday I photographed Christine & Nick's Engagement Portraits and now they're having a baby!! They wanted to keep things fun and casual for their Maternity Portraits so we ventured to Frobergs Farm in Alvin for a bit of strawberry picking fun.
At the start of the summer I had the great opportunity of performing in Casa Manana Theatre's production of The Producer's, under the brilliant direction of this gorgeous woman, Courtney Young. From Day 1 she was our fearless leader, her amazing talent only to be matched by incredible loving heart. One morning before rehearsal I was tickled pink to snag some one on one time with her for an Artistic Portrait Session. In true Courtney fashion she had a clear vision for the shoot- she wanted a bright yellow wall to create a warm, inviting feel. We had so much fun exploring a fun block in Downtown Fort Worth and I was honored to capture her essence and spirit. Whether its on stage or behind the camera, I love working with Courtney! Till next time :)
"Its the moments together that change us forever." -unknown Getting the WHOLE family together for a family portrait session can often be a bit crazy- making everyone's schedules match up and coordinating outfits is complicated to start. And then when the day and everyone is finally all together. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings... A bit crazy? A bit. Worth it? Absolutely. I photographed Stephanie and her little family last year and was so pleased when she gifted a session to her mom OVER Christmas. They hadn't had professional photos taken as a family since Stephanie and her brothers were little. I loved capturing everyone all together in front of my camera and am honored knowing that these images will be family treasures for generations to come!
"It's good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end." -Ernest Hemingway A few months back I met Adam when I photographed him and his friends, Varsity String Quartet. I was excited to photograph his Senior Portraits recently before he heads off to the University of Texas this Fall. I truly love senior sessions... one on one time, getting to know my client, and showcasing their unique self thru my artistic perspective. In the short time I've spent with Adam, he's shown me what a truly remarkable young man and I loved capturing this special moment in time. Wishing him the best as he journeys on to college! Hey 2020 graduates- it's never too early to schedule your Senior Session. I want to get you on my calendar! Click here.
