 "Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?" -Winnie the Pooh For Halloween this year my sweet little nieces Maddie and Penny dressed up as the White Swan and the Black Swan. These sisters love ballet so much just like their mama. Halloween morning came and even with a bit of rain we ventured to Clear Lake Park for some quick pics.
I want to remember how Maddie kept asking if that was real water. I want to remember how Penny was a bit OCD about keeping the white and black feathers together. I want to remember how Natalie critiqued Maddie's "swan" arms. I want to remember how Penny kept her headband on though she usually can't stand wearing things on her head. Can't wait for many more Halloweens with these sweet, funny girls!

 "You're Off to Great Places! Today is Your Day! Your Mountain is Waiting, so... Get on Your Way!" -Dr. Seuss What a journey it has been to watch Kennedy grow up. From a very young age, he showed such an eagerness to excel and talent to boot! I have great memories through the years of performing along side him in children's theatre, being his tap teacher, and cheering him on. One of our first shows together was Seussical, he played Jojo and I the Cat in the Hat! For the show's promotional stills we posed at Kemah Boardwalk and had a marvelous time riding rides and being silly! While planning his Senior Portaits, it seemed only fitting to return to the boardwalk. Kennedy, I wish you all the best as you continue to grow in your love and ability for the arts. The Rock is fortune to have you and I know with your hard work and determination, life will take you far.
 "Happiness is the atmosphere in which all good affections grow." - Thomas Bray The moment I started this sibling session, I just knew their portraits going to be perfect! Katie is the most loving big sis, Nick loves to make jokes and be brotherly, and little Emma is a princess. Their sibling dynamic was a joy to photograph. After photographing the them altogether, we excused Nick, and caught some fun moments of just the girls. The last shots of them in their ballet leotards are some of my favorite. They're going to love looking back at these moments years from now and I'm honored to have captured it for them!
 "Behind you, all your memories, Before you, all your dreams, Around you, all who love you, Within you, all you need." -unknown I've watched Annalise grow from a tiny little dancer to a tall elegant young woman. I've always loved watching her dance but this year she has really proven herself to be a true star on stage. Watching her perform the Sugar Plum Pas de Deux in the Nutcracker this past December was inspiring! She has grown so much in her dance ability, always caring herself with elegance and grace and I can't wait to see where her talents and abilities take her in life. Good luck at SMU next year, sweet Annalise!

Live the Life You've Always Imagined." -Henry David Thoreau I've had the great pleasure of watching Macey grow up through the years and I'm so proud of the young woman she's become. Going into her session I asked her if there was anything specific she wanted in her portraits and she simply said, "Warm Light" and mother nature must have been listening. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and Macey shined in each shot! Upon graduation Macey will be headed out to Chicago where she will join the Hubbard Street Dance's Professional Training Program- so proud and excited for her. Great things headed your way, Macey... Go show the world what you're made of!
