"Breathing Dreams Like Air." -F. Scott Fitzgerald This Senior Portrait Session was beyond special. I can't believe that MacKenzie is all grown up and a senior in high school! I've known this crazy talented young lady since she came up to my waist. Couldn't be more proud of the beauty she's become.
MacK and I are cut from the same cloth, not to mention we have the same taste in clothes!! We love a good red lip, big flashy musicals, and all things vintage. I'm so pleased with the final product of her Senior Portraits. I felt we really captured her retro essence and show her youth and maturity (and I simply can't get over how gorgeous the red dress set is!) She has a big, bright, beautiful future and I'm thrilled to be a fly on a wall. MacK- I love you for always and hope you treasure these photos as much as I do!

Apple picking is arguably the quintessential autumn activity. Its easily my favorite of the season! My husband and I enjoyed our visit two years ago to Hillview Farm so much that we just had to make it back there again this year. Their apples are delicious and the farm lives up to his name- the views are stunning a top the hill! We walked away with a bucket of plump apples, a giant jar of local honey, some cider and a wonderful new set of memories. I love this tradition and I look forward to one day sharing it with our children!
"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive- to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." -Marcus Arelius I've known Paige since she was a little girl and she always been such a beautiful light; hardworking and filled with love. She was one of my very first tap students and its been a privilege to watch her grow.
While in Texas earlier this month I was so excited to photograph some fun Portraits for Paige. When Paige stepped out of her car in that gorgeous pink formal and we were minutes away from a beautiful sunrise, I knew we were in for an epic session! After the glorious golden sunrise shots out on the pier, we transitioned to land for a few jump and twirl portraits. So grown up and glamorous!! On my last night in Houston I was fortunate enough to catch the last little bit of the dress rehearsal for Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre's production of Dracula! My sister, Natalie Zundel, serves as the company's Associate Artistic Director, and I was excited to watch her in action as she leg the dancers and creative team through their rehearsal. The dancers of BAHBT are the strongest they've ever looked and I know this is going to be an absolutely stellar production. If you're in Houston this weekend and want to be thoroughly entertained, do yourself a favor and go see this ballet with a bite!!
Here are some shots I snapped during the dress rehearsal. I feel honored to have photograph such talented and passionate performers. Enjoy! I want to say this here for all the world (or whoever reads my blog!) to hear- MY SISTER NIKKI IS A ROCKSTAR!
Nikki started running a few years ago. On Halloween last year she ran a race in Philly and I bussed it down to cheer her on and explore the city with her. It was during that trip that she came up with the idea that for the year of 2016 she was going to run as many half marathons as possible. She made that goal and is sticking to it- she's run 15 half marathons so far and will have 22 completed by the end of the year!! I love her drive, determination, and commitment to running. She traveling all over the country for these races and gets to explore different cities for a day or two at a time. Seriously- I'm so proud of her and I wish that I was as cool as her. Well a few weeks ago she ran another race in Philly so I took the bus there once again for a little weekend of sister adventures! We went to Reading Terminal Market (an absolute Philly must) four times in two days, visited the grounds for the beautiful new LDS temple (the 1st in PA) and took in the sights of the city at the Observation Deck. I really love getting to know Philly- its old world charm and architecture fascinate me. And I love that this is becoming an annual trip! |
