I've had the opportunity of knowing Kevin from Day 1. He is always been an extremely gifted violinist who's talents I used during my own wedding ceremony. Kevin is a senior at Clear Lake High School and met friends Christopher, Adam, and Zahi in the school's esteemed orchestra program. They quickly found that their friendship translated into collaboration and they formed the Varsity String Quartet.

It seems like winter temperatures are slowly creaping in so I'm trying to take full advantage of every last bit of the warm autumn sun. My latest family portrait session in Liberty State Park was certainly a super breezy one! I had been trying to schedule Marta, Alan, and little Isaac's mini session for some time now and we were ecstastic to finally nail down a date. Their session day came and thought the temperature was fair we had huge gusts of wind that made it quite cold. They were such troupers to bear through the crazy wind and we were still able to snap some great pics!

Alan is the bishop of my church congregation here in Jersey. I first got to know he and Marta by attending our church choir practices and I instantly fell in love with their kind heartedness. Its been a joy watching them become parents to Isaac, who is just the cutest little munchkin. I feel so grateful for their sweet friendship and blessed to have been entrusted with photographing their adorable family!

Growing up I would always a beautiful girl, a bit older than me, and think, "Wow. She is so pretty!" The other day I got to photograph that pretty girl  (all grown up now!) with her family!! 

I was simply ecstatic when Kelli reached out to me about taking Family Portraits for her adorable family of four while I was in Houston most recently.  And when I say they're adorable, I mean it! Alexa is so sweet and we chatted about our mutual love for musical theatre. Little Michael couldn't have been more charming and delightful as he went on and on about anything on his mind- so much personality! Kelli and Shawn have been married almost 15 years and it was especially sweet getting to photograph their love for each other and their family. You can see their trust, respect, and love in the way they care for one another and their children.  I really love the family dynamic and capturing its essence in portraits!

As a part of the special Mini Sessions I offered last week in New Jersey, I photographed this sweet little family. Back in March, Luisa and Carter braved through the piles of snow and freezing temperatures for their Maternity Session but this time around we had green grass, blue skies, and most importantly, Baby Lucas! 

Liberty State Park is quickly becoming my new favorite location for my Jersey clients. Its lush, well kept grounds and spectacular views are absolutely breathtaking and the perfect background for Family Sessions. Little Lucas is just darling and was such a champ during the shoot! My favorite thing about Lucas is that his tears will disappear anytime he hears "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. Now that's my kind of kid!! I look forward to watching him grow as I continue to photograph their Family Portraits.
