"We love because it's the only true adventure." -Nikki Giovani Allison is one of the most beautiful people I know. Growing up I always wanted to be just like her and her older sister, Laura. They were the epitome of elegance, not to mention they had the best personality; funny, witty, clever! As we progressed into adulthood they remained role models to me, but also became my friends. Its crazy to think back to our young ballerina days... Laura and I are now married and soon enough Allison will be joining the club. Soon after she and Brian got engaged last year she approached me and said "I don't have any wedding plans made yet but I know I want YOU to do our engagement portraits!" On my latest trip to the city I blocked out a whole day for Ali and Brian's shoot. I took a train ride along the Hudson about an hour north of Manhattan to meet them at their home. From their we drove all the way up Minnewaska State Park. The 2.5 hour commute to the shoot location was completely worth it- breathtaking views around every corner. I felt I had died and gone to heaven. Plus Ali and Brian are gorgeous people. It was a joyous shoot from start to finish! These two are so well matched and you can tell they adore one another. I was so happy to see my dear friend so in love and complete.
Cheers to the bride and groom! Thank you for entrusting me with capturing this special moment in time for y'all. Can't wait to see y'all tie the knot next month.
