Back in March I met up with my sister, Nikki, in D.C for one of her many half marathon races! It was my third time to visit our nation's beautiful capital however it was Nikki's first time. We froze our tooshies of as we hit up many of the famous monuments and explored the city on our weekend trip! We were a little early for cherry blossom season however I loved getting to see the blooms on all the trees, especially around the Jefferson Memorial. Other highlights from the trip included visiting the Air and Space Museum, eating pancakes at Eastern Market, running (and I mean running!) up the hill at Arlington Cemetery to view the last of the day's changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier, and District Donuts (can you say yum?!) Overall it was such a wonderful trip. I always enjoy quality time with my sister, especially when we get to explore an unfamiliar city seeing the sites and eating yummy foods!
