"Family is not an important thing. It's everything." -Michael J. Fox I've been blessed to know Stephenie and her family for several years through church. For their family portraits we started off in their loving home where I photographed Irene, Alex, and Emily with their instruments. Then we ventured to a local park to take in the beautiful portraits of everyone all together. We even snuck in some time for a few pics of Emily showing off her gymnastic skills.
This family has been through so much this past year since Harvey hit and I was more than thrilled to take their family portraits. I hope that as they continue to rebuild, that these photos will serve as a reminder of their love, hope, and strength.

"When I grow up, I will eat sweets everyday on the way to work and I Will go to bed late every night And I will wake up when the sun comes up and I will watch cartoons until my Eyes go square and I won't care because I'll be all grown up When I grow up." -Matilda, the Musical Right before spring slipped away and became a crazy hot and humid Houston summer, I snuck in a portrait session of sweet Sophie. After last Fall's session, I knew I was in for another fun day with this little one. We ventured to Helen's Garden then League City Park in the early AM, enjoying the beautiful scenery, playing on the playground, and snapping some fun pics. Sophie is quite the little model and loves being in front of the camera. Love getting to capture her youthful joy and enthusiasm. Looking forward to our summer session!
"Be a Mother who is committed to loving her children into standing on the higher ground than the environment surrounding them. Mothers are endowed with a love that is unlike any other love on the face of the earth." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley Right before Mother's Day I met up with one of my besties, Maggie, and her little boy, Cooper for a Mommy and Me session. It was wonderful to celebrate Maggie's first year of motherhood with these sweet portraits. So often I meet mother's who shy away from the camera but it's so important to get photos of mama with her littles! I know that as Cooper grows he will treasure these photo memories with his mama. Motherhood suits Maggie so beautifully and I love watching her care for her little boy. Looking forward to many more sessions with these two!
Back at the beginning of the school year, I had the honor of directing and choreographing Feijoo Ballet School's inaugural production of Black Box on Broadway: A Musical Review. Thanks to the success of the Fall production, we were back this Spring with an extremely talented cast (which almost tripled in size!) and LOTS of great musical numbers. Throughout the rehearsal process I found myself in complete awe of each of these young performers. There was no shortage of talent in this bunch and they constantly impressed me with their hard work, enthusiasm, and tenacity. I particularly loved seeing the growth of those who participated in the Fall who were back for this production. Looking forward to watch this program continue to blossom and bloom!
"Even the smallest one can change the world." -Peter Rabbit Alicia, James, and Victoria are some of the sweetest kids I know and I had such a fun time capturing portraits of them. Their sibling love is so strong and I think its quite evident in these images. To make these Spring portraits just THAT MUCH cuter they brought along their two bunnies, Flopsy and Mopsy, to share the spotlight. (Four days prior to the shoot, Mopsy had babies and one of them even made it into some of our photos!) Love this sweet family and hold them in a special place in my heart- so glad we got to do this Easter/Spring session with them.
