"Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change - this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress." -Bruce Barton As this moment in time, when the world is filled with so much anxiety and uncertainty, let me put a pause in it all by sharing a bit of Davis' Senior Portrait Session. I have the great pleasure of being Davis' little sister's tap teacher and it made so much sense when I found out he's a drummer. Rhythm most definitely runs in their family! I loved that the outfits he planned for his session were so well thought out... His favorite checkered vans. His letterman. His LSU polo. His drum line jacket. Bringing along his drum. Posing with his car. I was tell my senior portrait clients that their session should act as a time capsule of their high school experience and I feel like Davis nailed that!
A favorite moment worth noting... We shot in the evening and as the sun and temps dropped he offered his letterman to his mom so she wouldn't get chilly. And then after we finished our final shots, he looked over at her and said, "Mom, get in here!" We proceed to snap a few last portraits of him and his sweet mama. Oh my heart! With school plans coming to a halt right now, I know that it's the Seniors that are the most bummed out. I'm here to tell you, Seniors, that you still deserve your moment in the spotlight. Your chance to celebrate. Don't let this pandemic get you down! When things calm down, I'll be here with my camera waiting to capture this special moment in time for you.
