"Time, distance... Nothing could separate them because they knew. It was right. It was real." -Sleepless in Seatle Kate and Chris' story is so romantic... I don't do it justice because I know I'm missing so many details but here's the gist of it: He's an Aussie boy, she's a Jersey girl. They are one of four Aussie/Jersey couples that all met because of the same original couple! He proposed just about two years ago atop the Empire State Building (on her birthday), and to mark the occasion we photographed their Engagement Portraits. By the end of the year they will become man and wife!
So many people give Facebook a bad rep but (minus the political craziness that hogs my newsfeed) for me it has been such a wonderful tool to connect with friends that I sadly would've lost touch with. Kate and I met at the Rockette Summer Intensive six years ago and stayed in touch via FB. When she and Chris got engaged I was so very flattered that she reached out to me hire me as their wedding photographer. Now that visa issues have been settled, these two love birds are more than ready to tie the knot and I can't wait to see their faces on the top of the aisle! We started their session off by circling round the Empire State Building, since they have such a sweet connection to NY's most iconic buildings. I think its so wonderful to have a special place a couple can call their own- its especially cool that they can see their special spot from all around the city! After getting the urban street shots, we caught the train uptown to enjoy the lush greenery of Central Park. We had a wonderful afternoons and the more time I spend with them, the more I know that they really are meant to be. I'm honored to play a part in their love story. Looking forward to capturing their big day!!
