Merry Christmas Eve!! One of my favorite things about marrying into my husband's family is their annual tradition of cutting down the Christmas tree! Ever since Josh and Stacie were really little the family has gone out to a Christmas Treen Farm to pick out and cut down a tree. They even have a song they sing as the tree is being chopped. Having grown up in a household with a fake tree, having a real one facinates me. I love the charm and character of a real tree! It brings an extra bit of Christmas cheer to the season. When Mom and Stacie visited us for Thanksgiving we ventured out to the Perfect Christmas Tree Farm in Phillipsburg, NJ. Christmas trees filled the farm's 45 acres... It was heaven for my sweet mother in law who loves Christmas more than almost anyone I know. After wandering through the park for a while (only covering a small portion of the farm's trees), we finally settled on a gorgeous Frasier Fir! Good shape, super soft, and just the right height! It was perfect!!
If you've ever wanted to cut down your tree, I highly suggest it. I assure you there's most likely a Tree Farm closer to you than you think. You'll get some great quality time with family and it adds an extra measure of cheer to your holiday!
