I first worked Derrick several years ago in a community theatre production of South Pacific. He served as the show's Music Director and I the choreographer. It was the birth not only of years of artistic collaboration but great friendship. We have talked about taking the conductor headshots for years and I was excited to finally make it happen a couple month's back. Derrick is extremely gifted in all things music and I can't wait to see where life continues to take him. Wishing you lots of success with these new headshots, my friend!

Happy New Year!
With the holidays all over, I'm starting to play catch up on all the blog posts I've been behind on. First up is beautiful Emily's headshot sessions. Many years ago when she was just a wee thing (couldn't even read yet) I directed her in a little musical review. Now she's a gorgeous young lady, still as talented as ever, and looking to audition for college musical theatre programs in the next year. I was thrilled to capture her charm and beauty through my lens. And those blue eyes are just stunning!! Wishing her all the best as she uses these headshots in all her theatrical endeavors. "The horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change." -Maya Angelou This summer I had the opportunity of meeting Jessica, a soon-to-be college graduate from Stephen F. Austin University. From the moment our session began I felt us instantly click! Though we had only JUST met, I knew exactly what Jessica's vibe was and how to capture it through my lens! I so enjoyed exploring 1776 Park in Friendswood, TX for the first time. The location was Jessica's choice as she loved it's untamed, wild nature which certainly translated into the feel of the session. Among some fun artistic portraits, we also captured some professional headshots that she can use as she heads into her career in business! From her many gorgeous hair flips to her love for Topochico (and including it in her images) this session was pure JOY! Congrats Jessica on your upcoming graduation- go show the world what you're made of!
I've known Amanda for as long as I can remember, growing up at church together. Years ago I made my musical theatre debut as Little Red Riding Hood opposite Amanda's Rapunzel in Into the Woods Jr. Amanda is a very talented performer and spends the school year influencing young students as a theatre teacher. Her headshot session was wonderful! At the end she told me that though she started out nervous, but I couldn't tell one bit. Hope these shots serve her well going in all her professional endeavors.
"And one day she discovered she was fierce, and strong, and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back, because her passion now burned brighter than her fears." -Marc Anthony I have loved Madison from the moment I met her. Not only is she a sweet girl with a heart full of gold but when you see her dance you go into a trance. For only 13 year old she dances with a sense of maturity and grace that I only see on very seasoned professionals. For her shoot I was ecstatic to give her some basic headshots that she could use for future performance and audition opportunities as well as throw in some artistic dance shots for fun! Watch put for this one, everyone- she's going places!
