In preparation for her ballet auditions for summer programs, Zoe was in need of some headshots and portraits! Years ago, Zoe took a tap masterclass of mine at Feijoo Ballet School, I was excited to reconnect with her take these shots for her. After we captured the traditional first arabesque and close ups, we spent the rest of the time playing around in the studio for some fun dance portraits. Zoe is a beautiful dancer with lots of spunk- excited to see where life takes her!!

"Beauty attracts the eye but personality captures the heart." -unknown Where do I begin about this awesome family? I fell in love with Scott last year photographing his headshots and I loved that mom and sister joined in for the fun this time around. They were interested in getting individual "personality" shots to use for modeling, audition headshots, and social media. The kids were absolutely adorable, making my job so easy and I loved that Becca donned her favorite fur coat and flowing skirt for her shots- isn't she gorgeous?! We enjoyed the beautiful weather and atmosphere at Bay Area Park for their session. Looking forward to the next one with this beautiful family!
"Place God first in your life and at the center of your marriage. We pray together every day." -Evelyn Husband Thompson It always so special when I get a client ask me to photograph them and i'm honored when they return year after year. After photographing their family last year I was thrilled to be back behind my lens for Evelyn and Bill again, this time for some headshots and couple portraits.
Bill’s first wife, Margie, succumbed to breast cancer after a valiant 13 year battle. Evelyn suddenly and tragically was widowed when her first husband Rick, the commander of STS-107, Space Shuttle Columbia. They were brought together through their loss and faith. Now married 11 years, they travel the world together sharing their message of hope, love, and faith. I was honored to capture their love story as well as provide them so portraits that they can use at all of the public speaking events. What a truly inspiring couple! My oldest sister lives in Arizona with her husband and their five beautiful children. When they were visiting over the holidays I took each of my nieces out for a mini portrait session!
First up was my oldest niece, Avery. Avery is 11 years old and is about to pass me up, which will make her the tallest woman in the family! Not only does she look older but is acting so mature and grown up. Avery and I share a love for musical theatre and I am loving see her passion and skill grow (even had a private tap lesson during her stay!) Avery, don't grow up too fast. xoxo, Aunt C! If you are associated with any ballet school, you'll know that this time of year is all about summer intensive auditions! The shots that these companies and schools require are very specific and are looking for a certain technical aspects. I love offering my trained dancer eye to my clients to give them shots they can walk in confidently into the room with on the day of their audition. One of my students at Feijoo Ballet School, Amélie, needed some shots for her upcoming auditions and I was happy to be at her service. Other than some basic headshots, we also captured her in first arabesque, à la seconde, and échappé on pointe. Amelie is a beauty and I loved this quick session with her- excited to see where these shots take her this summer!
