Wishing everyone a wonderful back to school season! Though academia was never my strongest, their was something about the first day of school that always got me so excited. Maybe it was the new backpack filled with new school supplies, or sporting a brand new outfit. I was ready to take over the world! My mom loves telling the story of my first days in Kindergarten. As I'm quite dramatic, she was sure that I would throw a big fit whenever she tried to leave the classroom after saying hello to my teacher on the first day. Instead, I was having so much fun meeting my new friends that I hadn't even noticed she'd left the room. On the morning of the 2nd day of school, as we pulled up through the drive through she asked, "Do you want me to come in with you?" to which I replied, "No, Mom. I Got it. Bye, love you!"
School had given me the confidence to exercise my brain, nurture my creativity, and find my independence. This time of year as I see everyone headed back to school, I'm reminded of that sweet little kindergartner. Whenever I need a little boost, I reach inside and tap into her confidence and optimism! You can only imaging how much fun I had styling this fun Back to School session with my sweet niece Maddie and adorable sisters, Violet and Jasmine. Here's to a great school year for everyone! (And special thanks to Ms. Karen for the adorable desks and chalkboard!)
