Before I found my passion for natural light photography, I started off photographing the rehearsals and performances of my dance life! I love returning to those roots last week at the Feijoo Ballet School's dress rehearsal for their very first End of Year Performance. Come the fall I will joining their faculty teaching tap and theatre and I couldn't be more thrilled. Returning to the Grand Opera House in Galveston, the theatre I grew up performing at, was such a beautiful thing. As I stood at the front of the orchestra photographing all the young talent on stage, I couldn't help feeling like everything is coming full circle.

8 years to the day since I saw your face.
You leapt with joy that summer’s day. We had not a care in the world. Green grass, blue skies, sweet friendship. As you danced, I snapped. He lifted you in the air, not knowing that our time with you was almost up. "Family is like music, some high notes, some low notes, but always a beautiful song." -Jesse James As an extension of Becca's Senior Portraits, I had the pleasure of also photographing her with her wonderful family. I've grown up in the same circle as their family due to the theatre community in Houston, but our paths never crossed till now. Kelley and Ryan are both fantastic singers and actors who've raised three beautiful children- Becca, Kyle, and sweet little Ava.
