"She makes the day brighter, she leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes." -Kate Spade Anna popped out of her car on the day of her session, skipped over to me and gave me a big hug. I could tell she was just as excited as I was! Her mom approached me during the summer about getting portraits done of Anna to celebrate her first year studying dance at Feijoo Ballet School (her teacher is my sister, Natalie!) We had a few delays when it came to scheduling but the day finally came and were were all so excited for it! Anna has the sweetest little spirit. At first I would give her a few poses and next thing I knew she was posing herself and telling me all the ideas she had for the next shots. It was wonderful collaborating with this little star! I just adore her style too. We started off in a classic pink leotard and tights, later adding on a tutu, jean jacket, and crown for a bit of extra sass. Another fun element to the session were the adorable stuffed animal bunnies she brought! Anna LOVES bunnies. It was important to her mom to have some portraits that portrayed her love for her favorite childhood toy!
I'm so grateful to Anna and her mom for introducing me to the Butler Longhorn Museum in League City. What a beautiful location! It was the perfect fit for this little ballerina's rustic chic portrait session. Looking forward to more shoots there AND with sweet little Anna in the future.
