"Art is the heart's explosion on the world. Music. Dance. Poetry. There is probably no more powerful force for change in this uncertain and crisis-ridden world than young people and their art." -Luis J. Rodriguez One of my session in Texas recently was with one of my favorite young artists. I've had the pleasure of knowing Jason since he was teeny tiny and I've always admired his strong work ethic and passion for dance. Its been several years since I've seen him and when he showed up for this photoshoot, I found myself saying over and over "You're so big!" (I'm sure he was probably thinking to himself, "Caitlin, you're so old!") Since I photographed him last he's grown a foot in height and 100 miles in his dance abilities. As we created movement for his shots, he created elongated lines with his body and jumped with grace and strength. Can you believe he's only 15?! I'm so inspired by him and can't wait to see where his career goes. Jason suggested we use graffiti as the backdrop for his latest portrait session and I was pleased to find an amazing building in EaDo covered in so many beautiful and interesting graffiti displays. Skyline, splatter, wings, shapes, bright colors, zippers, faces, a super hero... so much to be inspired by!
What do these images evoke for you? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Incredible. Love the look of the background and the display of his talent. Noted that the background was his suggestion, obviously talented in many areas.
