Paper Anniversary

A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing friends Phillip and Colleen to commemorate their one year anniversary of wedded bliss. Colleen and I have performed together at Theatre Under the Stars and Houston Grand Opera. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out. 

I've photographed a number of couples over the years and sometimes it can be a challenge for the men I'm shooting to feel natural in front of the camera. This can not be said about Phillip. The way he would look at her, kiss her hand, pull her in for a dance... it's like I wasn't there. It's always wonderful to photography a couple in love, but there was something extra special about these two. I could tell there was a deep found respect and desire to care for one another.

Central Park in the Fall is the perfect setting and I will never tire of doing sessions there! It was the perfect backdrop for this newlywed couple and I look forward to many 2015 park shoots!!!
