HAPPY 8TH PHOTOGRAPHY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!

Each year around the 20th of May I like to celebrate the anniversary of my photography business. What has always been a lifelong love turned into a full blown obsession within days of my first shoot and I was hooked! Feel free to read about it HERE.

I recently relocated all of my belongs to Houston, TX (don't worry NYC peeps, I'm splitting my time between both!) so I saw it only fitting to use Galveston Beach as my backdrop for this year's anniversary shoot. I was oh so lucky to snag Estheysis (Stacy) Mendez Rubido and Javier (Chino) Omar Morales Barrios as my models, but as well as instant friends!

In the beginning of CCP, my shoots mainly consisted of dance photography and through the years it has expanded to all type of Artistic Portraiture. I used to say "I do everything but weddings," but now I can't even say that! I love how how my business has evolved and how each year I gain new experiences and opportunities to open up my eyes to the beauty all around.

For my anniversary shoot each year I love to honor my first love in photography: Dance Portraits! Stacy and Chino are some of the most gorgeous human beings on the earth, so very kind and generous, and it's icing on top that they are such spectacular dancers. I was in heaven as I photographed them along the beach at sunrise and then in the fun charming alleyways. Stacey makes everything so effortless and gorgeous (can you say "LEGS!!") and not only does Chino have such incredible strength and charisma, but he's also so funny- kept us laughing the whole shoot! Its an exceptional combination when you find individuals that are as much talented as they are caring and humble. Truly a joy to celebrate my 8th anniversary of CCP with them!
