I always love meeting and photographing new families. On Black Friday, Laura gathered her family altogether for a big family portrait session and we had a lovely time. The weather was perfect and we practically had Heritage Park all to ourselves. It's so important to get photos with the one you love when you're altogether. I particularly loved photographing the oldest grandson who was far from camera shy! Wishing Laura and fam a very merry Christmas.

"Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?" -Winnie the Pooh For Halloween this year my sweet little nieces Maddie and Penny dressed up as the White Swan and the Black Swan. These sisters love ballet so much just like their mama. Halloween morning came and even with a bit of rain we ventured to Clear Lake Park for some quick pics.
I want to remember how Maddie kept asking if that was real water. I want to remember how Penny was a bit OCD about keeping the white and black feathers together. I want to remember how Natalie critiqued Maddie's "swan" arms. I want to remember how Penny kept her headband on though she usually can't stand wearing things on her head. Can't wait for many more Halloweens with these sweet, funny girls! "Every great step in your life begins with a leap of faith, a step into the unknown." -Brian Tracy Rylee and Emilee made for the sweetest little models this summer. Before their family made the move to San Antonio, we got together in Galveston for their adorable sister portrait session. Rylee has developed into a beautiful young dancer and Emilee is following in her footsteps. I loved photographing their beautiful dancing through my lens. Not to mention they left me in giggles the entire time! Hope these images adorn the walls and shelves of their new home and that its not the last time I get to spend time with these fun loving, talented sisters.
"Like seashells we are beautiful and unique, each with a story to tell." -unknown If you wind through my family tree a bit you would find that Lexi and Kylie are slightly related to me- their aunt is my sister! Its been several years since I last saw these sweet girls and I was so excited for our fun Galveston Portrait Session. First we started out underneath Pleasure Pier playing in the waves and sand. Then we made our way into some of my favorite local alleyways, capturing a mix of childhood innocence and some professional headshots they can use in their dance and acting ventures. My favorite part of the session was showing the girls a few pics on the camera, and they would let out uncontrollable giggles of joy! Hope they treasure these photos for many years to come.
"You don't find the happy life, You make it." -Thomas S. Monson I simply love photographing family portraits and this session was no exception. I know this beautiful family through church- once upon a time Karen was my Sunday School teacher and I remember when all of her kiddos were just little tots. Their session was filled with so much joy and laughter and I loved seeing the genuine friendship that these siblings shared. It made my heart happy to know I was capturing these special memories for this family as it will be two years time till they're all together again. Wishing Bryon, their oldest, the best as he serves his mission for our church in the great state of Idaho!
