Helen's Garden is one of my absolute favorite spots to photograph in the League City area. Even in the winter they keep the garden looking fresh and green, providing my clients beautiful backdrops for their session! Jason, Angela, and their whole family got together here for their family session and we had a total blast. Between the location and this awesome family, plus the perfect overcast skies, this session was lovely from start to finish.
I first worked Derrick several years ago in a community theatre production of South Pacific. He served as the show's Music Director and I the choreographer. It was the birth not only of years of artistic collaboration but great friendship. We have talked about taking the conductor headshots for years and I was excited to finally make it happen a couple month's back. Derrick is extremely gifted in all things music and I can't wait to see where life continues to take him. Wishing you lots of success with these new headshots, my friend!
Happy New Year!
With the holidays all over, I'm starting to play catch up on all the blog posts I've been behind on. First up is beautiful Emily's headshot sessions. Many years ago when she was just a wee thing (couldn't even read yet) I directed her in a little musical review. Now she's a gorgeous young lady, still as talented as ever, and looking to audition for college musical theatre programs in the next year. I was thrilled to capture her charm and beauty through my lens. And those blue eyes are just stunning!! Wishing her all the best as she uses these headshots in all her theatrical endeavors.
I always love meeting and photographing new families. On Black Friday, Laura gathered her family altogether for a big family portrait session and we had a lovely time. The weather was perfect and we practically had Heritage Park all to ourselves. It's so important to get photos with the one you love when you're altogether. I particularly loved photographing the oldest grandson who was far from camera shy! Wishing Laura and fam a very merry Christmas.

For Halloween this year my sweet little nieces Maddie and Penny dressed up as the White Swan and the Black Swan. These sisters love ballet so much just like their mama. Halloween morning came and even with a bit of rain we ventured to Clear Lake Park for some quick pics.
I want to remember how Maddie kept asking if that was real water.
I want to remember how Penny was a bit OCD about keeping the white and black feathers together.
I want to remember how Natalie critiqued Maddie's "swan" arms.
I want to remember how Penny kept her headband on though she usually can't stand wearing things on her head.
Can't wait for many more Halloweens with these sweet, funny girls!
