Several weeks ago I got an email from a Mom I know from the dance school I grew up at asking me what my availability for a senior session was. I replied with package info and dates, and at the end I tagged on "Is Delilah really a Senior, already?" to which she responded, "Oh no, this is for her older brother!" I was relieved to learn that Delilah was a sophomore and that her brother, Solomon, was the one graduating this year!
I have the pleasure of photographing headshots with so many talented actors, ones that are just starting out to ones that have been going at it for 20+ years. I had the recent pleasure of meeting Violet who is at the beginning of her acting career. First headshot sessions are so special!
You're off to great places!
Today is the day!
Your Mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!
Senior year can be filled with a rollercoaster of emotions- excitement, frustration, determination, pride, and bittersweet to name just a few. It is such a pivotal moment in one's life and I'm honored to capture it through Senior Portraits. Becca's had quite the few ups and downs in her Senior Year. I was honored to get to know her and capture her strength and beauty from behind the lens.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Meaghan since she was a young child. Meaghan has had such a kind heart and a caring spirit and I'm so proud of the young woman she's grown into. I've always thought that she had such an emotional maturity and (to be perfectly honest) I've been thinking she was ready to graduate for the last few years! Was excited to get in a Senior Portrait Session with her before she becomes a full fledged graduate. And she was kind enough to include her younger sister and brother for a few sibling portraits too!
HAPPY 8TH PHOTOGRAPHY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!
Each year around the 20th of May I like to celebrate the anniversary of my photography business. What has always been a lifelong love turned into a full blown obsession within days of my first shoot and I was hooked! Feel free to read about it HERE.
I recently relocated all of my belongs to Houston, TX (don't worry NYC peeps, I'm splitting my time between both!) so I saw it only fitting to use Galveston Beach as my backdrop for this year's anniversary shoot. I was oh so lucky to snag Estheysis (Stacy) Mendez Rubido and Javier (Chino) Omar Morales Barrios as my models, but as well as instant friends!
Loves: my husband, golden age movie musicals, red lipstick, fall leaves, rainy mornings, dressing up, jazz music, yellow tulips, tap dancing, and taking your photos (yes YOU!)
